Donate all or part of your 2020 Tax Refund!
The Rocky Mountain Honor Flight is a Colorado 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that since 2007 has provided all-expenses paid trips for Veterans to Washington, DC to visit the monuments and memorials dedicated to honor them and their selfless service and sacrifice.
How can you help? Please consider donating your 2020 Colorado tax refund (or a portion), if you will be getting a refund, to the Rocky Mountain Honor Flight. To do so, when you file your Colorado income tax return, you will need to attach an additional form to your Colorado income tax return, that is the Colorado Department of Revenue Form DR 0104CH “2020 Voluntary Contributions Schedule”. On page 2 of the Form DR 0104CH, at line 18 (labeled “Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund” you would: 1. Fill in the dollar $ amount of your refund that you are donating 2. On the next line fill in our Colorado Secretary of State “Registration Number” of “20083000711” and 3. On the next line fill in our name, “Rocky Mountain Honor Flight”.
Note: Different tax filing software programs (like TurboTax) will display prompts for tax filers getting refunds in various ways and donors will have to look for “Donate to a Colorado Fund”. If a donor is using a tax preparer, like H&R Block or a CPA, the donor will need to inform the tax preparer to include the Form DR 0104CH, completed as per above.
